Responsibilities
Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ developmental goals.
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines, promoting independence.
Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure compliance with care plans.
Support clients in educational settings by applying teaching strategies aligned with special education practices.
Collaborate closely with supervising behavior analysts and care teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
Maintain confidentiality of medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations during all documentation processes.
Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages trust, engagement, and behavioral health improvements.
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligible for certification; ongoing training preferred.
Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder.
Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies.
Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching methods tailored to individual needs.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
