POSITION SUMMARY
The Student Behavior Analyst position is designed for individuals pursuing advanced clinical experience and professional development within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This role is intended for individuals actively pursuing BCBA certification, credentialed BCaBAs, QASP-S certified professionals, or individuals with a Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Under the supervision of a BCBA and clinical leadership team, the Student Behavior Analyst assists with clinical programming, treatment implementation, staff support, report preparation, data analysis, parent support, and operational coordination to help ensure quality clinical care and continuity of services.
This role combines both direct clinical treatment responsibilities and indirect clinical support responsibilities. Approximately 50% of the role may involve direct 1:1 therapy and client support services, depending on clinic needs, staffing, and client programming requirements.
This position provides hands-on experience in clinical case management, behavior analytic programming, staff training, supervision support, and clinic operations while supporting professional growth toward independent clinical leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDirect Clinical Responsibilities
Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy services to clients as assigned
Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming under BCBA supervision
Accurately collect and record client data during therapy sessions
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and safety procedures consistently
Support client progress through consistent treatment implementation
Maintain professionalism and engagement during all therapy sessions
Collaborate with supervising clinicians regarding client progress and treatment concerns
Clinical Support Responsibilities
Assist BCBAs with implementation and monitoring of treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
Support skill acquisition programming and behavior reduction procedures
Review client data and assist with identifying clinical trends and treatment progress
Assist with report writing, reassessments, treatment plan updates, graphing, and documentation preparation
Conduct direct observations and assist with assessments as assigned
Help ensure treatment integrity and consistency across staff implementation
Assist with parent training preparation and clinical materials
Support implementation of behavior analytic procedures under BCBA supervision
Participate in overlap sessions and assist with clinical support coverage as needed
Support development and maintenance of individualized client programming
Assist with implementation and monitoring of behavior reduction and safety procedures
Staff Training & Supervision Support
Assist with onboarding and training of Behavior Technicians and RBTs
Provide implementation support and modeling for direct care staff under BCBA guidance
Help monitor staff adherence to programming and documentation expectations
Support ongoing competency development and clinical consistency among team members
Assist with training materials, protocol updates, and procedural implementation
Provide feedback and implementation coaching to staff under supervision of clinical leadership
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
Support clinic workflow and operational coordination as assigned
Assist with maintaining accurate documentation and client records
Help track treatment authorizations, reassessment timelines, and clinical deadlines
Participate in clinical meetings, trainings, and team discussions
Communicate professionally with staff, supervisors, and families
Support scheduling coordination and continuity of care initiatives as needed
Assist with maintaining compliance with BACB, payer, and company standards
Support clinic quality assurance and operational improvement initiatives
SUPERVISION & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Participate in ongoing BCBA supervision and clinical mentorship as applicable
Accept and implement feedback from supervising clinicians and leadership
Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and ethical conduct
Participate in professional development, trainings, and clinical learning opportunities
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
Follow BACB ethical and supervision standards where applicable
QUALIFICATIONS & POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation & Certification
Candidates should meet one or more of the following qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a BACB-approved coursework sequence
Active BCaBA certification
QASP-S certification
Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, Behavioral Health, or a related field
Prior ABA experience preferred
RBT certification preferred but not required

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to analyze data and follow behavior analytic procedures
Strong time management and documentation skills
Ability to maintain professionalism in fast-paced clinical environments
Proficiency with electronic data collection and clinical documentation systems preferred
