Seeking excellent and compassionate RBTs to provide support for children and young adults with disabilities and behavioral needs in their own homes and in-clinic in Solano County, CA.
As a part of the Children’s Behavioral Services team, the Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) is the main in-home paraprofessional behavioral staff working with client children and their families under the supervision of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position will report directly to the Director of Children’s Services/BCBA and indirectly to the Lead RBT and Director of Operations.
Primary Duties
Works with team in providing home-based Children’s Behavioral Services for children aged 3 through 21 referred by North Bay Regional Center or other sources for severe behavioral issues putting them at risk of out of home placement, or other maladaptive behaviors needing additional support, with the goal of maintaining the child in the least restrictive setting, at home with family, with the services and supports necessary for their health and safety.
Documentation and data collection of all client interactions, behaviors, responses to interventions, and progress toward behavioral goals as outlined in the behavior support plan and NBRC IPP.
Participates in regular team meetings for program development, training, supervision, and client service plan coordination.
Act as an advocate to clients and families served by the agency, and as a role model to other staff and trainees.
Manage a caseload of behavioral clients (number will vary based on intensity and frequency of services) at direct client productivity of at least 75% of hours worked, per schedule directed by supervisor.
Additional duties, if qualified, may include infant development services for infants and toddlers under age 3 with developmental delays.
Requirements and Skills
Registered Behavioral Technician recognized by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Experience with Infants and Young Children 0-3 is a plus to cross-train to our Infant Development program if desired
Bachelors Degree preferred in related field
Candidate must be First Aid/CPR certified and able to pass and maintain a clear criminal background check (Livescan/DOJ).
Candidate to have reliable transportation and valid California Driver’s License, registration and agency required insurance limits in order to drive for work such as transporting clients.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification is also required within three months of hire. Paid training provided by Special Care Services.
Must possess the philosophy and belief that individuals with developmental disabilities are generally best served in their homes and communities with the in-home support needed.
Candidates should thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment and possess skills in managing multiple priorities and tasks at the same time.
Candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and oral) and be able to interact professionally with various constituents (Regional Center, Medical Professionals, Family members, etc.)
Candidate should be comfortable multitasking, delegating, and managing multiple priorities independently.
Physical requirements: Able to lift up to 40 pounds, push, pull, bend, twist, and reach. Able to work with children in developmental play activities in the client home, community locations, and other natural environments. Additional physical requirements may be needed for working with select clients.

Experience: 1 year as a Registered Behavior Technician preferred, Infant Development experience and education highly desirable
