*RBT or Early Interventionist / Neuroaffirming Caregiver – Part-Time**
We are seeking a neuroaffirming early interventionist with an Associates or Bachelor’s degree (we will consider Associates degree as well) and experience working with autistic children to support a wonderful 4-year-old child in San Francisco who has developmental and behavioral support needs.
This role is ideal for someone with training in special education, psychology, speech-language pathology assistant, occupational therapy, or a related field, who takes a strength-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to supporting children.
This is not a therapeutic role, but a caregiver The ideal candidate is warm, patient, and playful, and enjoys building strong relationships with children while supporting communication, regulation, and developmental growth through meaningful interaction and play.
*Schedule**
Monday–Friday and occasional Sundays
2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
*Responsibilities may include:Picking up the child from schoolTaking the child to activities or outings (park, library, enrichment, art)Engaging in artSupporting emotional regulation using positive, neuroaffirming strategiesEncouraging communication, social interaction, and independenceLight child-related tasks (child laundry, preparing simple meals/snacks) and helping the child to support the child to learn more self help skills*Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Associates degree required (special education, child development, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, or related field)Experience working with autistic children requiredBackground or experience in early intervention strongly preferredCommitment to neurodiversity-affirming practices (respecting and supporting autistic communication, regulation, and learning styles)Patient, reliable, and engaging personalityClean driving record and reliable transportation preferred*Compensation:**
Begins at $40-45 per hour depending on experience.
