Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), focusing on skill development and behavior management.
Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform ongoing treatment strategies and ensure fidelity to treatment protocols.
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care routines, promoting independence.
Use behavioral therapy techniques to support clients in reducing challenging behaviors and increasing functional skills.
Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment records, and care plans, adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in implementing interventions and support strategies.
Support clients during therapy sessions with patience and positive reinforcement to foster motivation and engagement. Skills
Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder.
Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote independence through teaching and support.
Excellent data collection skills for tracking client progress accurately and efficiently.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance for confidentiality purposes.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families.
