Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients through effective behavior management strategies, teaching essential skills, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Duties
Implement individualized treatment plans based on ABA techniques to support clients' behavioral and developmental goals.Work directly with children and individuals with autism, providing one-on-one therapy sessions in various settings.Assist clients with ADLs to promote independence and improve daily functioning.Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure effective interventions.Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each client's needs.Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and care plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.Provide support in special education settings as needed, fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.Qualifications
Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and behavioral health practices.Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and care plan development.Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.Ability to teach new skills using evidence-based strategies while maintaining a patient-centered approach.Knowledge of behavior management techniques relevant to working with individuals on the autism spectrum.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines in all aspects of patient care.A background in special education or related fields is a plus.
