Duties
Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles for children and individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis.
Conduct behavioral assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and functional behavior analyses, to identify needs and inform treatment strategies
Schedule and conduct team meetings to review treatment plans every 6 months
Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and PA regulations.
Provide direct therapeutic sessions with skill-building activities, and behavior management interventions tailored to each individual's needs
Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and other team members for treatment planning, and ongoing progress reviews
Maintain accurate session notes and documentation
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive care plans
Complete monthly supervisions required by state regulations
Complete all state required clearances and mandated reporting
Maintain current Pennsylvania Behavioral Specialist License
Complete and hand in paperwork on a weekly basis at the office location
Experience
A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA and/or 40 hours of training in ABA approved by the Department while being supervised by a BCBA for one year minimum
Be licensed by the State Board of Health in PA as a Behavioral Specialist
Hold your BCBA certificate that is active
Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), is essential
Familiarity with working within special education environments or behavioral health settings enhances effectiveness in this role
Experience in data collection methods
Understanding of HIPAA compliance is necessary for accurate documentation and confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and assessments confidently
Strong interpersonal skills for working compassionately with diverse populations while maintaining professional boundaries
