SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with behavioral and social/communication challenges under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Exhibits knowledge of developments/trends in developmental disabilities and aging.
Exhibits proper cooperation, enthusiasm, and interest in all areas necessary for the success of FCC and associated services provided.
Assures compliance with State/Federal law, and CARF accreditation.
Provide assistance with training RBT’s.
Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS) and functional assessment measures under the guidance/supervision of a BCBA.
Develops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data under the guidance/supervision of a BCBA.
Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives under the guidance/supervision of a BCBA.
Conducts regular parent/caregiver and teacher training and consultation under the guidance/supervision of a BCBA.
Develop materials, training and provide resources for and provide professional learning to parents/guardians in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior difficulties.
Train behavior technicians on ABA program and individualized plans of care.
Provides assistance with the initial RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) training
Directly observe treatments administered by behavior technicians.
Facilitate natural environment interventions when appropriate.
Review technician’s documentation and data collection and provide feedback as needed.
Communicate through checking voicemail and email regularly.
Complete all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner according to written procedures and regulatory/payer guidelines.
Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers, and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
Participates in professional meetings or conferences.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
At least two years’ experience serving individuals with ASDs with a full range of skills and abilities.
Experience with staff training and supervision.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) from an ABAI accredited program OR undergraduate degree and behavior analytic coursework
BCaBA Certification
Active RBT Certification (preferred)
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write and interpret medical history, assess reports and relevant data. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees within the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as read and discussed in the new employee training must be followed at all times.
Consumers’ progress notes be maintained and completed daily or as needed on the prescribed forms.
Consumers’ records must be maintained weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. All information must be filed in consumers’ records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.
