Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes and community settings under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA using evidence-based ABA strategies, including Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Functional Communication Training (FCT), and other behavior intervention techniques.
Build positive, therapeutic relationships with clients and their families while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Collect accurate electronic data during each therapy session on skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and client progress.
Assist clients in developing communication, social, play, daily living, self-help, and adaptive skills.
Implement behavior intervention plans and respond appropriately to challenging behaviors using approved behavior management strategies.
Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, and other members of the treatment team to ensure consistency across environments.
Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings.
Educate and support parents and caregivers by modeling treatment strategies and encouraging skill generalization between therapy sessions.
Maintain timely and accurate session documentation and complete required notes by established deadlines.
Travel between client homes within the assigned service area while maintaining reliable transportation and auto insurance.
Maintain compliance with company policies, ethical standards, HIPAA regulations, and BACB guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred, or willingness to complete RBT training and certification.
Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of current auto insurance are required.
Ability to pass required background checks.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong observation, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in clients' homes.
Patient, compassionate, energetic, and committed to helping children reach their fullest potential.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and actively engage with children during therapy sessions, including sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
